The Gold Coast Titans (also known as the Gold Coast, and stylised as GC) are an Australian professional rugby league football club, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. They compete in the National Rugby League’s (NRL) Telstra Premiership. The club was admitted to the competition in 2007, along with the Central Coast Pirates.
Gold Coast’s admission to the NRL was underpinned by a $1 billion redevelopment of Carrara Stadium.
The Titans are the second team to represent the Gold Coast, following a failed bid by Tony Pullin to enter a team for the 1995 season.
The team is managed by former player Neil Henry and captained by former New Zealand international, Kevin Gordon.
In 2008, they were in contention for the minor premiership until falling off towards the end of the season. In 2009, they missed out on the finals altogether. In 2010, they were unbeaten for the first sixteen rounds, but again missed out on the finals.
