Newcastle Knights

Newcastle Knights is a rugby league team in Newcastle. They are part of the two grandest rugby league clubs in Australia and have been around since 1988.

The club started as the Newcastle Rugby League Club but changed their name to Newcastle Rugby League Football Club in 1947. Later they changed the name again to Newcastle Knights in 1989.

The club was found by New South Wales Rugby Football League.

Newcastle Knights has won six premierships and played in eight grand finals. The most recent Grand Final was in 2012.
Their home ground is McDonald Jones Stadium which is a multi-purpose stadium and can hold up to 18,000 people.
